Rich Borden |

Richard Borden teaches courses in environmental psychology, personality and social development, contemporary psychology, and the history and philosophy of human ecology. Rich has just returned to full-time teaching, having served as COA’s Academic Dean for twenty years. He is a Past-President of the Society for Human Ecology and continues to serve as its Executive Director. In addition to his passion for networking human ecology worldwide, Rich also enjoys the more domestic pleasures of cooking, carpentry, old-time fiddling, and sailing. He is author of numerous books and articles, he has been a USIA academic specialist and consultant in the area of human ecology and served as an advisor to human ecology programs in China, Russia and elsewhere in Europe and in North and South America. |

Lene Rachel Andersen |

Lene Rachel Andersen is an economist, author, futurist, Bildung activist, and a full member of the Club of Rome. After studying business economy for three years, she worked as a temp teacher before she studied theology. During her studies, she wrote entertainment for Danish television until she decided to quit theology, become a fulltime writer and focus on technological development, big history and the future of humanity. Since 2005, Andersen has written 20 books and she has received two Danish democracy awards. Among her books are The Nordic Secret (2017), Metamodernity (2019), Bildung: Keep Growing! (2020), and What is Bildung? (2021). |

Paula Bleckmann is Professor of Media Education at the Institute for School Education and Teacher Training in the Department of Education at Alanus University in Bonn. After spending time in the USA, studying biology at the University of Constance and studying at the Teacher Training College for Waldorf Education, Kassel, she worked as a class teacher in the 2-teacher team at the Integrative Waldorf School in Emmendingen. This was followed in 2006 by a doctorate with a dissertation on media pedagogical parent counseling at the University of Bremen and in 2015 by the habilitation with venia legendi in health pedagogy at the University of Education Freiburg. |

Johan Rockström is an internationally recognized scientist on global sustainability issues. He led the development of the Planetary Boundaries framework for human development in the current era of rapid global change. He is a leading scientist on global water resources, with more than 25 years experience in applied water research in tropical regions, and more than 150 research publications in fields ranging from applied land and water management to global sustainability. In addition to his research endeavours, which has been widely used to guide policy, Rockström is active as a consultant for several governments and business networks. He also acts as an advisor for sustainable development issues at international meetings including the World Economic Forum, the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change Conferences (UNFCCC). Professor Rockström chairs the advisory board for the EAT Foundation and the Earth League and has been appointed as chair of the Earth Commission . |
