Corona Management

FtF Rules for Management Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19).

During the conference from August 31 to September 3, 2022, the following rules for handling the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) will apply.

The conference is held according to the 2G+ principle for others' and self-protection. Admission is granted for those who have been vaccinated and those who have recovered. In addition, we ask all participants to make a quick test in the morning before the start of the conference with negative result.

This eliminates the obligation to wear an FFP2 mask during the conference. Of course you can still wear a mask during the conference if you like.

In order to be able to perform the quick tests in the morning before the conference, e.g. in the hotel, all participants will be provided with an appropriate number of quick test kits at the registration table.

We trust that all participants will perform the test with due care and notify us of a positive test result - an infection with the coronavirus. You can reach the conference team at the mobile number 0049 177 5439678.

If you are infected, please isolate yourself and do not participate in the conference live. Online participation is of course still possible.

We thank you for your cooperation.

Keep well.

From Berlin to Potsdam

If you arrive by plane in Berlin at BER Terminal 1-2, there are various options for the onward journey to Potsdam. The fastest connection is with the regional train RB22 (heading in the direction S Griebnitzsee) from platform 4, which will take you to Potsdam main station (Hauptbahnhof) in 55 minutes. A single ticket in the VBB tariff costs 3.50€ (Berlin-BC ticket). The train station at the airport is directly below Terminal 1 in level U2. In addition, there is a direct express bus connection from the airport to Potsdam Hauptbahnhof with bus line BER2 departing at bus platform A2. Since comfort coaches are used for the route, there is a comfort surcharge of 6€, in addition to the VBB fare.

Furthermore, there is the possibility to get to Potsdam via a change in Berlin. The price of a single ticket is 3.80€ (Berlin-ABC ticket). You can either use the combination of RB14 (direction Nauen Bahnhof) and RE1 (direction Brandenburg Bahnhof) with a change in Berlin Ostkreuz, or the combination of RE7 (direction Dessau Hauptbahnhof) and RB21 (direction Golm) or S7 (direction Potsdam Hauptbahnhof) with a change in Berlin Wannsee.

If you arrive at BER Terminal 5, you can either take the above-mentioned express bus BER2 to Potsdam Hauptbahnhof or change to Terminal 1-2 with the S-Bahn lines S45 or S9 or bus lines X7 or X71 in less than 10 minutes to use the above-mentioned connections. The BER2 departs in front of the Terminal 5 station building, travel time is 52 minutes.

Adopted from the PIK-website (https://www.pik-potsdam.de/en/institute/contact/where), own additions.

On arrival by train at the Berlin main station take the regional train (RE-train) departing from platform 13 or the S-Bahn (S7), platform 16, both located on the upper floor, in order to go to Potsdam. The S-Bahn stops more often but leaves more frequently.

Most buses and trains run at intervals of 10 to 20 minutes depending on the time of the day. - If arriving late, you might want to check the time tables beforehand at:

http://www.fahrinfo-berlin.de/Fahrinfo/bin/ and/or http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en

You can obtain tickets from the bus driver or at the underground or S-Bahn station at a ticket machine. When obtaining your ticket from the ticket machine, please make sure to validate your ticket by stamping it (red box, next to the ticket machine) before entering the train. If you buy the ticket from the bus driver it is valid immediately.

From Potsdam main Station to IASS (and Restaurant Il Teatro)

Take Tram 93 in the direction of Glienicker Brücke and get out at the Schiffbauergasse/Berliner Straße stop, which is situated directly opposite the IASS on the left. To Restaurant iL Teatro follow the Schiffbauergasse to the right.
