Locations named in the call for the foundation

In the early stage of the College-Initiative and the first feasibility studies the follwowing locations were included:

• College of the Baltic
  The island Ruegen and the Biosphere Ostruegen

• College of the Wetlands
  The south of Brandenburg and the Biosphere Spreewald

• College of the Alps
  The valley of the little Emme in Switzerland and the Biosphere Entlebuch
  The region Pays-d’Enhaut in the Swiss canton Vaud

In 2009 the focus was laid to location in southern Germany and the Alps. In 2010 we are looking for two possible locations:

• The Region Weissenburg-Gunzenhausen in Bavaria
• The Region Freiburg in Baden-Wurttemberg
